Poesie und Prosa – Eine Anthologie
Warum eine Baum-Anthologie, mag man fragen. In dieser Zeit der politischen Krisen und Kriege? Es gibt doch genug. Aber es ist nie genug und jede ist neu und frisch. Diese möchte nicht nur Naturgedichte und -geschichten versammeln, sondern den Menschen selbst individuell, sozial- und umweltbewusst in Beziehung zu Baum oder Bäumen setzen.
Geografisch haben wir unter den Dichterinnen und Dichtern – sowohl nach Ursprungsgegend und gegenwärtigen Schreiborten als auch in den möglichen Orten der Gedichte und Geschichten – eine internationale Mischung aus Ländern und Staaten: Deutschland, Irland, die Schweiz, Italien, in den USA Arizona, Kalifornien, Hawaii, Idaho, Missouri und andere.

An autobiographical fiction based on the poet’s natal chart
Whether real or imaginary journeys by plane or in virtual reality, the poems of Chinese poet Yin Xiaoyuan construct a sort of parallel reality composed of electric fields, sudden apparitions, and transient epiphanies, described with scientific accuracy and set within a meticulously calculated sequence of events. The view of nature, in physical and atmospheric values, dialogues in counterpoint with a virtual tributary of today’s technological culture, where travel conditions suddenly ignite, as if by internal combustion, references to the fantastic (here the Russian, the spiders of Kafka, and the Lautreamontian memory…), give rise to rapid and fleeting triggers like those of the short films that are so fashionable today.

Language of Water

International Poetry Anthology
Water was one of the four classical elements in ancient Greek and Roman philosophy or the five in Indian philosophy. It is the earth’s main constituent and that of all known living organisms. Without water, there would be no life on earth. No one understands water, which covers two-thirds of our planet. It exhibits a whole raft of unusual behaviors, many of which are essential for life as we know it.
So, the mystery of water belongs to us or we to it, how our lives are. It has inspired several poets to express their ideas about it in their poems.

ALS DIE „GASTARBEITER“ AUSZOGEN, DIE DEUTSCHE LITERATUR ZU EROBERN
Die 1980er Jahre waren ein Jahrzehnt, in dem vermehrt deutschsprachige Gedichte, Theater und Prosa nichtdeutscher Autoren und auch Autorinnen in der deutschsprachigen Literatur auftauchten. Diese Dichtung aus den „Hinterhöfen der deutschen Sprache“ stellte der Autor erstmals 1984 in DIE ZEIT umfassend dar und machte damit auf ein Phänomen aufmerksam, dass seinerzeit nur von wenigen wahrgenommen wurde.

Silence is not the absence of anything; it is the presence of something, the existence of a god, or a sort of divinity.
In this anthology, silence embodies various metaphors, such as silence is golden, silence is deafening, silence is a veil of snow, silence is a mirror, silence is a veil of secrecy, silence is a sanctuary, silence is a lullaby, etc. With its many metaphors, as used by poets in this anthology, silence then seems to play a role in our existence and the way we human beings perceive things.
