Achim Amme is an author, actor, and singer-songwriter. He wrote his first songs in English at the age of 15. After a one-year stay as an exchange student in the USA, he studied theater, philosophy, and German studies before receiving his diploma as an actor from the Max Reinhardt School, Berlin, in 1972 and working for several years in the theater (with George Tabori, a. o.) —freelance writer since 1978. Since 1997, he has appeared in films and well-known television series.
He has published poems, stories, a biography about his grandfather, and his songs on records and CDs. He is on the road as a reciter with programs on Joachim Ringelnatz and John Lennon, a.o. Various literary prizes and scholarships.
