Joachim Frank, born in Hamburg in 1952, lives in Prisdorf and Sweden. While traveling, he began writing about the little things that happen along life’s roadsides. To date, he has published a novel, a nonfiction book, four volumes of short stories, and travel stories about Botswana, Egypt, Ecuador, and Cape Verde. His short prose has been published in numerous anthologies, magazines, and newspapers.
Joachim Frank has been awarded several prizes, including the 2016 Hamburg Authors’ Association Short Story Prize, the 2017 Bahman Prize at the literatur-altonale, and the 2019 Prize of the Erwin Strittmatter Association, Brandenburg.
