Melida Travančić was born in 1985 in Doboj, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She lives in Tešanj and works at the Center for Culture and Education.
She is a writer, scholar, and essayist and holds a doctorate in humanities. She has published more than twenty academic papers and literary criticisms.
Since 2007, she has published poetry and essays in almanacs, anthologies, and literary magazines in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, and Macedonia. Her poetry has been translated into Macedonian, English, Spanish, Persian, and Hungarian. She has participated in several national and international poetry festivals, academic conferences, and congresses.
