Sabine Witt, born in Hamburg in 1960, studied Romance Studies, German Studies, and Art History there. From 1994 to 2006, she taught Romance Literature at the Universities of Hamburg and Bremen.
She has published and lectured on Italian and Spanish literature. She is an editor, translator, proofreader, and Italian teacher. She is a literature lecturer at the Hamburg Adult Education Center (VHS) and the Hamburg AWO (Working Group for the Elderly), where she also works in the “Senior Citizens’ Education/Open Senior Citizens’ Work” department. She is a city guide.
Since 2015, she has been chairwoman of the Hamburg Authors’ Association.
